24″x 36″ , Acrylic
This is my recent work with acrylic paints. This painting is an abstract art with a base of the sunset sky. Till last year i was mostly using oil paints for my work but for my last 4-5 paintings i have been using acrylic paints. I think that it is a lot more easy to work with acrylic paints than the oil once because of acrylic’s fast drying characteristic compared to oil paints. Also oil paints are little messy when it comes to clean all the things.
This painting has various bright colors as i wanted to paint something bright in this Canadian summer. In Canada, the sky is the most gorgeous no matter what time of day it is. The beauty of the sunrise and sunset inspired me to create this piece. Mostly an evening sky contains bright orange, pink and blue. To create a base i used a flat brush and for clouds a round brush is always best. Use a bigger flat brush to blend the colors. You can also use a sponge tool which comes in different sizes to create a final touch which i have done for this painting. Making the clouds is little tricky sometimes, but with the right tool and perfect blend you can make different types of clouds.
I would definitely put a tutorial in my next art blog for you guys.
